Cacatua goffini and Corucia zebrata-a parallel situation

Also as mentioned previously, The Present situation in the Solomons and Papua New Guinea reminds me of the situation of Cacatua Goffini a couple of decades back. Japanese loggers completely laid waste to the homeworld of these little fellows with profiteering individuals collectioning the dazed and comfused survivors to ship for the pet trade. MANY died in the process but the market was flooded with these guys making purchase very affordable at the time. The result is the population base of captive bred animals extant now. They are virtually wiped out in their homeland. Coucia zebrata fate seems similar by comparison. Any responsible person wishing to keep and perpetuate this species, the time is now.

Sincerely,
Brian

It's been a while since I've received an update on how things are going.

I'd love to hear from you or Lee/2 sometime to bring me up to speed.

Talk soon...

Hey Kim,

It's been pretty much the same old- same old. We did acquire a few new Corucia-CB's and imports. I hope Dill is well. I saw your posts. Hopefully, you can get her some male company with the recent price drop and availability of Corucia.

Sincerely,
Brian
