looking for large hook.

nevrmore Aug 20, 2009 06:27 PM

do any of the companies manufacture a large (~55" telescping or collapsible hook? not looking for it for reptile purposes, per se. at my job we are looking for a safer replacement for standard pull sticks used to move pallets. i took in a pocket-size snake hook and the bosses positively loved the design, but it needs to be much larger. as such i was put in charge of finding them and getting prices. i saw that midwest has large folding tongs, but i can't find anything in a large, sturdy, yet compact hook.
any help would be appreciated. thanks.

You might look at some of the telescoping paint-roller poles at the hardware store. Might be bigger than you're looking for. Depending on how strong it has to be, you might be able to make the hook part by reshaping the screw-on roller...
