Breeding superdwarfs...

jayefbe Aug 20, 2009 07:09 PM

I haven't been able to find a lot of info on breeding superdwarfs. I have a 50% SD het albino girl, and I'm not sure what size will be suitable for breeding. I figure at about 3 years of age, and with a good feeding regiment, she should be at reproductive size. Any info or links to breeding info on SDs would be much appreciated.

My other question: Is it possible to breed a male mainland retic to a female SD? I know that mainland to SDs have been done, and the only cases I'm sure of involved a male mainland bred to a female SD. I'm thinking about picking up a nice morph male and a female SD for future breedings, but don't want to if it's an unrealistic breeding pair.

Many thanks.

If your going to breed a mainland to a SD female your going to want her to be a mature 3-4 year old girl with either a small male for his age(7-10feet) thats ready to breed. This is just a generale guideline and not all inclusive. And of course your Female has to be ready to breed.
