Outcross Blood Clutch Hatching

guyergenetics Aug 20, 2009 07:15 PM

The first clutch of Outcross Blood X Outcross Blood has begun to hatch. 1/4 of these should be Bloodreds. I also just found out that the Grandfather to these is het Amel, so we might have a shot at some Fires out of this clutch.

Very cool!,......the diffused gene x amel really does produce a strikingly vivid orange/red animal.

good luck with that project!

I agree, the Amel Bloods are as pretty as a papoose in a red hat.

Hopefully we get lucky. Let's see, 1 in 4 shot at Bloods in this clutch and in the clutch from the other Outcross Blood female. Grandaddy is het Amel. The parents of these clutches would be 50% het Amel.....Not much of a chance at Amel Bloods but still a chance. Fingers crossed.

Thanks. I'm glad that you like them. I probably toss out 3-4 photos for every one that I keep to post online.
