you sure do make me want to get one of them lol. Dont they get large like 8' or so? very cool snake indeed, i may have to check up on laws of owning them here in florida. Do they go to the bathroom alot? thats the one thing that has kept me away from all non python/boas seems like they all go soo dang often

Thanks. They do get large, but 8' is probably not typical. Jack's father was described to me as a huge male, and he is about 7' long. But they do require large cages, they are active. Yes, they poop a lot compared to boids! As much as I love Jack, it is a pain to clean the tank every 3-5 days due to stinky, loose poop.
You won't be able to get one in Florida.
But you could get other members of the Drymarchon genus (Texas indigo, cribos).
