Considering Aussies

bast Sep 16, 2003 07:54 AM

Hello,

I am considering buying some Aussie water dragons and I am still in the "make sure you really want them" and research stages. I would like to know how tame they become. I have large outdoor pens and (See skink pen below)I am afraid skittish animals will run out when the pen is opened. I plan on splitting an existing pen into two 10X6 foot pens. They are not very high. Is that a problem for Aussie dragons?

Any info is apprecieated. I already have an Arg. tegu from Agam International and would get my dragons from them...if I go forward.

Thank you,

Brian

I'm sorry no one has replied to your question yet, I hope your still looking. I think you should be okay with aussies, aussies are normally more tame then chinese, from what I hear. Also they are much less aboreal and dotn require nearly as much height as the chinese do. I cant help you too much though since I own chinese, but, e-mail Brett at Agama International, he'll be happy to help you, heres the link:
