Trying To Redefine How We Look At Mojos

fgs Aug 22, 2009 02:09 PM

I've been working with this beautiful morph for four seasons now. Here are a couple of babies that I produced in 09. My hope is that after a few more seasons I will be producing mojos that consistantly explode with silver blushing and are drenched in gold.

I wish more would put their energies into line-breeding the various morphs to improve their appearance, rather than this mad rush for the newest quad-het combo (not that I haven't been guilty of that myself, before any of you chime in )....

Those are BAUTIFUL mojaves! I agree that it's about time to start line-breeding the various morphs to improve their appearance, maybe it's also time to have Ball Python shows like the AKA Dog Shows where the standards for the different morphs will be established and best examples will be rewarded

Beautiful! Very nice work. I've always thought they were one of the most undervalued morphs out there. There is so much yet to be done with Mojaves.

Just gorgeous! It's a whole lot more fun to work toward making the best animals, than making the most.

Deron:

Beautiful looking lemon mojave. I'm thinking of dabling with the pastel mojave project. Looking at the one you've produced makes me consider the project even more.

Tha is one of the best looking pastel mojaves I have ever seen.

you produce some of the best mojos I have seen. I can't wait to see what you produce in a few years.

Selective breeding is in its infancy as far as bp's go.....but you have a jump on all of us in the mojo department!

Alice:

The first photo is of an 08 holdback female, she weiged about 800 grams at the time. The second is of an 07 holdback female, she weighed around 1500 grams when this photo was taken. You should see these ladies in direct sunlight. The colors are like none I've seen. You're so right it's like a green gold.
