New to Gray-banded Kingsnakes

mrkent Aug 23, 2009 08:02 PM

I just got my first gray-banded yesterday. I have lots of experience with corns, and some with milks. But, I don't know how large or old a female gray-banded should be to breed. I am used to working with cornsnakes, which can often be well over 3 feet, and ready to breed when they are 2.

This one is a blairs phase, that I bought at the Portland Metro Reptile Expo (Oregon), from Dan Romanowski. He is going to email me the breeder's info, but said she is a Loma Alta. She is an '08, and a little over 2 feet in length.

Also, can anyone direct me to a guide to understanding the localities that you all talk about on this forum?

Sorry for the crummy picture, but this is her.

Thanks,
