Super Pastel Het Red Axanthic

tombarnhart Aug 23, 2009 08:36 PM

I got lucky this year and hatched out a female super pastel het red axanthic. I bred a pastel het red male to a het red female and out of 5 eggs I got 2 pastels, 1 het red, 1 het red pastel and this super pastel het red. I love the blushing on her and nice light appearance. Still lots of crosses to do with the red axanthics! I have a gravid spider female that was bred by the het red pastel and my fingers are crossed for the het red bumblebee.

Thanks for looking,
Tom

Oops, I meant to say I bred my HRA pastel male to a PASTEL female, not a het red female. Although I do have eggs incubating from that cross too (HRA pastel x HRA).

Sorry for any confusion,
Tom

Gorgeous snake! I don't mean to pry, but how did you end up with a super pastel only breeding a pastel het red axan to a het red axan? Did I read wrong?

Great snake though, congrats!

Tom , nice snake you have there! I am a little confused how it's a Super Pastel if only the one parent had Pastel in it? Did you mean to say she's a Pastel Red Axanthic instead of a Super Pastel Het Red Axanthic ? Or did she come from a different clutch alltogether where both Parents had Pastel in them and the sire also is a Het Red?

She's a keeper for sure either way!

Thanks man. Yeah, I screwed up the original post, it was a produced from a female pastel.

Take care,
Tom
