couple from our w/c x f1 pairing of observatory cut animals and they are outstanding.

They are so fat they probably won't eat for a couple months.

Shannon,

I know compliments are thrown around a lot on this forum (I don't give them unless I mean them), but those are SMOKIN'. What did the rest of the clutch and the parents look like? The bad thing about Davis snakes is that often darken up so much that you can't appreciate their speckling. I hope that both of those stay pretty light.

Thanks Bryan,
I am hoping they don't go real dark either.
There was only four eggs and one was full term dead in egg and the other died a couple days after hatching for no visual reason.

Here is the one that died just a couple days after hatching.

I am not sure if I got a pic of the one that was full term dead in egg.

Here is mom with her clutch. This is a f1 from Ric Blair.

Here is our w/c male.

the pair.

Thanks

The pair of adults look a lot like a pair of Musquiz we have. I hope that they can produce as nice of offspring as yours. Too bad about the other two babies. I guess that these Davis are pretty hard to hatch. I wonder if I am incubating mine too hot. I know that the feeding pattern of my Davis is quite different from my other localities of alterna. What were your incubation temps? I ran mine right around 82 F. It worked last year, but for only two eggs as well.
