Great pics
What line of Albinos are they ?

bbox Aug 24, 2009 07:57 PM

Thanks. Just the standard albino strain that most have (Richard Evans). The red coloration came from me originally back in the early 90's. I got the parents from Regis Opferman (from animals he got from me bred with the albinos way back when).

Thanks, I am using a Canon 30D.

Nice animals and really great photo's of these hogs and the GBK's on the Alterna Forum! I wish i could take shots even half as good as that that!

Takes lots of practice Mike (and suffering through taking a lot of really bad photos). Thanks though. Didn't you buy a canon eos? Having a good macro lens and proper lighting is the key. I am still messing with the lighting setup. I am too cheap (poor) to buy some of the nice strobes and softboxes, so I built my own.

Yea, i did buy the Canon Rebel xTi.. AND the $500 macro lens and i played around with it a little but, but i quickly found out that owning the right stuff is only half the battle... I need to learn how to use it and practice, but i can never seem to find the time..

Wow! Nice looking pictures and snakes! Do you have a photo set up or just a place that you use to take the photographs?

Thank you. I took these in my garage with a make-shift studio. Nothing fancy. I am bouncing my flash from off camera and using a little bit of reflected sunlight that comes through the open garage door.

Can you post a picture of your studio? I would love to get some ideas of how to better photograph

John

Thanks for the kind words. Here is a pic of my other clutch of albinos. Not as red, but I still like them.
