Daytona National Breders expo pics

Finally arriving at the Hilton after a long preperation and drive.

Finally:

Room:

View the next morning:

Afternoon view:

Girls:

Me doing that stupid pose again:

That's better:

I don't know who took this picture but it was in my camera:

Poor people:

Seriously. The economy has effected everyone. Qt least that is what i think it is. Vendors complained of low sales. I just noticed a general low moral amongst other regulars. I wonder if the West coast show in Anahiem will have the same effect???

Acquistions:

Hypo Florida x goini kings

This guy is not so nice:

I like this ones attitude:

These are the White Lips that Zenny keeps posting. I got some 2007 that will be big enough to breed next season. I think that there is more to them right now. It may be that this white color is a type of marker.
This is supposed to be a normal brooks that is het for hypo. Not a hypo.

This was the surprise (for me( at the show.
These are from the original Gulf Coasts strain of Lavender x goini.
(I didn't think anyone kept this project alive after Gulf Coast decided to get out of colubrids).

Karl,

How do the Florida kings move? Since they aren't very many out there, I was wondering if these sell well at shows?

They actually come from the flame line started by Bob Fengya I believe they are unrelated to the BHB line. I have never done the breeding but I am told the are not allelic with the NE or Lemke strain axanthic. I have not bred them to any other strain Anery yet either.

The show seemed smaller this year and the vibe just wasn't the same, I know there was supposed to be more vendors but sure didn't seem like it. There just wasn't as much excitement as there was in years past. Something about the expanse of the old location that gave it more electricity. This was just like any other show.

I walked through the whole show, then left to try and figure out where the other half of the show was.

This was the worst National Reptile Breeders Expo I've been to, and all the vendors I knew did poorly. A lot of the familiar vendors were not present this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot more drop the show.

JYohe Aug 26, 2009 06:30 PM

POOR People.....LOL.....I see them all the time at shows....

.....nice.....people always take snake and critter pics....glad someone took hotel and all pics....we see enough snakes....people need to see the beach...even empty as it is...

....you looked happy.....good....

have fun......!
