I just got these guys off crigslist for good deal. The big one is a cal king. What kind of king is the small one.

Its hard to say because there is no history on them right? If they were wild caught, I'd say they were both intergrades from Southern AZ where Cal kings mix with both Desert and MBK's. The big snake has the head pattern of a Desert king.

Seeing from your previous post that you live in Tucson (I lived there for 13 years), I would venture to guess that those are wild caught kings from the Tucson area. I agree with Ross that those look like the Cal King X MBK X Desert King intergrades found around there.

Definitely integrades. I would say Cal King X Splendida.

It's illegal to buy, sell, trade, or barter AZ native wildlife within the state, btw. Just an FYI.

Everyone knows these laws are ridiculous and does nothing to protect snakes. It is all about power and regulation.
