Any Eastern Foxsnakes keepers here?

richh Aug 25, 2009 04:09 PM

I should kick myself for getting out of eastern fox snakes years ago. Anyone still working with these? Pics?

Best regards, Rich Hebron

Hey Jamie glad to hear from you, funny that you would be posting. Then again there are not many at all still working with these so I should have assumed How are they doing? That female was the cleanest hatchling I ever came across. Did she hold her pink and orange tones? Her pattern was exceptional as well. Have they produced for you?

There are only a handful of us, Rich.
Jim Sargent in Houston and I have genuine Easterns from old Sandusky stock.

Bill, thanks for the info. Two is better than none

There is also an old line of Michigan stock that was being worked with. I have since lost track of anyone who may be working with such. Keep up the good work so people like myself can acquire some and keep that torch burning.

I still have my pair from the Toledo area; they breed occasionally. I had Michigan Eastern when they were still legal to obtain, and I've kicked myself in the rear many times for parting with them.

Yeah, I let go of a pair of Michigan Easterns as well. There are several groups of snakes I regret getting rid of when I decided to get out of all this. I should have rid myself of all the morphs and kept my locale herps. I am making plans on adding a few types next season. Starting my research now on captive lineage and stuff of that nature. I have my doubts though in replacing some of the groups I moved out. But never know
