possible fire x het red axanthic?

stu Aug 26, 2009 08:51 PM

Anybody made a fire x het red axanthic yet?

got this group from a fire x het red breeding. the one on the far right looks nothing like my other fires....lots of blushing on the back, pattern is a bit twisted....not sure if its a cross or if its just an aberrant fire.

I really expected the cross to have the blushing black back from the het red?

any thoughts?

Boy, that's really hard to say-since the Fire is also a pattern mutation, maybe it screwed with the het Red Axanthic pattern a bit. I would say tha tsnake is probably a Fire Het Reds Axanthic, but will have to be bred to be sure. It's looks are certainly suggestive, but not conclusive IMO....

Thanks Brad,

That is pretty much what I was thinking. Only one way to know for sure.

Thanks for the pics

makes me think mine might be, just not as nice as yours. still going to have to breed it to be 100% i guess.
