Funny and stupid of me

ok, so i am at petco a few weeks ago, and they have cornsnakes. i'm looking through the whites and reds (they always have amel and snow)and i see black and grey. so i buy it. now, two weeks later, it has grown quite a bit, AND after it's shed...it has red. what i thought was an anery...turned out normal. don't get me wrong, she's still beautiful, but i was so excited i had found an anery at a pet store, since pet stores around here don't ever sell em.

i guess the fun will be breeding to find out what fun genes are in the mix.

just thought i'd tell everyone my story. haha.

You might end up with a nice looking Miami phase corn! I purchased some Miami corns from Rich Z this year, and a few of them look very much like an anery (black & gray). Having never raised Miami corns before, I was surprised at how dark the blotches are. I can't wait for them to shed and start changing color!

Actually, it kinda looked like the pic on page 74 of the corn snake manual. (Love the book btw, picked it up at petco. best book ever)
Oketee(sp?)
looked like an anery, but is filling in on the reds. more brownish than red actually.
thanks,
me
