I had to move (4 yrs ago)a huge collection of emys emys and phayrei some 18 yr.captive breeding adults. Before introducing them to their new enclosure,I put their fecies and nesting materal in each enclosure. All did fine including the oldest captive who layed every year sence 93. She stuck her head in the air and walked right to the spot I placed the materal in her new 3,000 sf enclosure. She then checked out the whole thing and seemed do be none the worst. She and the male staked out many different places to sleep feed ect. There was no paceing the barrier walls. Several months later she built her nest in the spot I placed her fecies and past nesting materal.(they use the same nest site for two or three years sometimes). You might want to try this when you move your tortoises, and even other reptiles. It seemed to reduce the stress of the new change in their move. Good luck with the new reptile facility. Let me know when your getting ready to aquire Mt.tortoises. I'll tell you a few other things about their likes and dislikes. Vic Morgan
