New BCC cages arrived

KevMadden Aug 28, 2009 06:24 PM

As my little ones get older they need more room. I was very excited when I got the phone call that my two pallets of cages had arrived (8 Vision model 600s and 2 Vision model 400s). I had already put together the pedestals for them to sit on so I just had to sanitize the cages and put the ultratherms on. I moved out my model 432s and 322s to the quarantine room and put the new ones in my main room. I’m in the process right now of moving everyone up to their new cage and I hope the kids like their new arrangements. I’ll either move the stack of three footers back in the room or get another Boa rack once everyone outgrows their two smaller racks. I’ll have room in my main room (my old office - 14’ x 12’) for 26 to 28 adults. I don’t know if the collection will ever get that large, but it is nice to have the room. BTW - Customer service at Vision was incredible!

I hope some of y’all share your set up as well.

When I think about what was around for cages when I first started collecting boas and pythons (late 80s) I can't believe how much better the options are. I love Vision cages and have since they came out, but I know others have different taste and there are pros and cons to every setup.

Take care,

Kevin

You are correct Kevin. There are a whole lot of choices around, but very few cages that are as nice as those. Those are great cages that will last you a long long time. The best thing is they, like my cages, don't leak Boa fluids. That or Python fluids either which can be voluminous. Very beautiful and functional cages! Congrats on a great set up!

Great set up! I use Vision racks too and I love them! I live in So. CA and get to pick them up and save myself shipping :P ! The cages I have are Boaphile though. I like the plastic fronts rather than glass.
Thanks for sharing. Sorry, don't have photos of my "room" yet.

Very nice Kevin,
After many many phone calls and e-mails one tends to form a mental picture of the person they are conversing with. That mental image also carries over to how that individual keeps his animals and I will say your set up looks exactly like I expected from you.....Clean, neat, and very orderly.

The only thing I see that is not quite right....a few empty cages

As for when you transfer them to their new homes, will be a perfect time for you to take pic's hehe. Looking great Kevin.
