Tall Paul X Thistle Pairing!!!

BROWNSBOAS Aug 28, 2009 08:31 PM

My Guyana female Thistle is 101 days POS and looking great... Really excited about this pairing... Nice Purples in both these gorgeous animals..

Thistle

Tall Paul is the only import animal in my collection. He was about 3.5' when I got him and he didn't eat for the first four months I had him. I had glass cages in the early days and I would pull all the lids off feed and then put them all back on. I set a bowl of about 10 good sized rat chubs in his cage in bowl one night and started feeding all the other snakes. Tall Paul slowly worked his way up to the bowl and took a mouthfull of about three rat chubs and choked them down alive.. Still one of the craziest feeding events I have ever seen in my years of doing this... He is long and lanky... he does eat a-lot better now... Excited about breeding this guy!

Thanks for looking!!!

REALLY NICE!

I wish that female wasn't possibly a sibling to Mr. Incredible. My guess is those babies will be RIDICULOUSLY nice! Smart pairing Al!

Got my fingers crossed for ya bro,

One night I had him out to clean and my mother was over playing with my kids. She came down to checkout the snakeroom and he had started climbing straight up one my racks. She said he is tall I found that odd to call a snake tall!!! my moms name is Paula so.. I called him Tall Paul... He climbs better than any snake in my collection and you can't take him outside he knows what freedom is still.

How do you like the ARCS caging system? I was tossing around the idea of buying a 52 inch rack, but I have a concern about my boas pushing it open. Has that ever happened to you with the ARCS caging?

BROWNSBOAS Aug 29, 2009 10:41 AM

Thanks for all the comments guys!!!!

I LOVE ARS... I have used products from all the major caging companies and the ARS are hands down the best!!!!! I will never look anywhere else for caging my adults and subadults... No way possible for them to push out and I can clean all twelve of mine in about half the time of a stack style cage... For the money and sqft they are the best in my opinion~~~~ Favorite feature on the ARS are the rounded corners in the tubs that make urate removal a breeze.. The smooth inner coating of the tub also helps make waste cleanup a breeze.. Lots of people claim there cages don't leak, but they do... ARS don't leak....period.
