Kentucky pine snake.

Phil Peak Sep 16, 2003 11:36 AM

KE and I have been trying to track down pine snakes in KY for some time now. Sunday morning it all came together for us. After meeting up with Dwight Good and some other herp friends from western KY we decided to search a large open area. While searching a rock pile, KE spotted this pine lying completely motionless slightly near some brush. Fortunately he was able to pick up on the pattern and make the find!

At any rate, thought you guys might find this interesting.

Awesome snake too!

I know how rare these things are in KY. I live in Cinti, OH...and one of my herping goals has always been to find a pine snake in KY.

Hey Dean, really enjoyed the talk you did for our herp society last year on Indigo snakes. Hope to catch up with you again in the future.
