WE FOUND HIM!!!

asia2003 Sep 16, 2003 11:54 AM

I posted this as a reply to my original post by accident, so incase you didnt see it already I wanted to say thank you all for the advice, encouragement, and tips. WE FOUND HIM THIS MORNING. My lawn guy went searching at 7am, and at 11am he called me and said "somebody wants to come home!" I was absolutely ecstatic. Sulley will be taking no more vacations away from the house. He is in great health, although very dirty, he ate a full meal, and had quite a drink. After a nice warm bath, he is now looking like his old self again, with amazingly not a scratch on him!!!

Thanks again you guys!!

Curious, how far away was he? I am very happy that you found Sulley. I lost my first turtle last week, I have been searching for him to no avail. Three years having turts/torts and not one has escaped til now. I had only had him about a week, so I haven't been crying, but I am quite upset. He was an ornate wood turtle, and I am afraid he got across the street to the little stream/ditch and now long gone. Oh well, the search continues for me...

Nothing is more rewarding than when something lost is found again.

Now, if that Burmese mountain tortoise that walked under my dad's fence in 1977 would show up!

Ever since I read your original post I've been thinking about you. I would not be able to stand not knowing what happened to him. My eyes are watering. Must be allergies. I'm thrilled for you.

Thanks!!

It means so much to hear how everyone was pulling for us! Sulley is still doing well, I have looked him over for scratches, or injuries and he is still as perfect as the day he escaped!! (amazingly) He was a little dehydrated, and hungry, but is doing great today, oh, and the gate is now secured!!

Thanks again for your concern, and for thinking of us.
