Question about "pedigrees"

chimbakka Sep 16, 2003 12:17 PM

I have to write a "personal essay" for my English class. I want to write about the problems that could be an issue down the road if/when wildcaught animals are ban and the need for some kind of a pedigree/registration system now so we are as prepared as possible when that happens.
The problem is, I don'tknow anything about how this type of thing works. I don't know who this would be started through, or how breeders adhere to it. If anyone knows this, and could help me out, or give me your points of view on it, that would be great. I am of course doing more research on my own, but I figured that there would be people on here that could be more helpful than a lot of sites I might find.
Thankyou!
~Lindsay

Lindsay;
If this is a "personal essay", then it doesn't necessarily have to be factual, does it? Write your opinion about this subject, how it would affect you personally!

Lindsay,

We keep a "stud book" for our breeding colonies. Each chameleon has a sheet that records where/when/what age on arrival/breeding/with whom/results/etc...... Many pictures go in with these records too.

This is not only for us - but for our customers.
Hope this helps,
