Pastel x Burgundy Clutch hatched/ pics

djslurp1200 Aug 31, 2009 08:12 PM

The odds gods have been with me this year!

Came home sunday to a pile of pastels!

Granted I know this is a project not as exciting as some of the others folks might have but I'm happy with the outcome of this clutch and Out of 6 eggs we got 5 pastels and one pretty normal (hoping it's a girl! )

Can't believe how faded this one's head is!

Thanks for looking!

Don't kid yourself that's a fine looking clutch and project, super odds and really nice looking pastels, very purple heads, clean colorful sides, they're gorgeous.

Congratulation

Is the burgundy a dominant or recessive gene ?

Thank you to everyone who commented...

As for the Genetics of the Burgundy Hypo... It is a Simple Recessive gene.

I bred a Het Burgundy to my male Pastel to make these pastel 50% poss hets...

Popped all the babies last night as I wanted to give them a few days to settle before I go popping them stressing them more after all the pics. LOL...

I ended up with 1.4 Pastel 50% poss het burgundy's and 1.0 50% Male Poss Het Burgundy... The odds and sex ratio couldn't have been any better!! LOL
