Here is a baby blaze goini passing through for a size comparison.

OK, go for it! FLAME AWAY, but put on your sensitive pants and be ready for a food fight!

Nice to see your lemonade stand is up and working too, Jeff. That sure is a pile of neonate t. triangulum. But give me another shot w/ perspective please. Maybe a dollar bill or a shot in your hand would give me a better sense of proportion. I can't tell if they are 2 inches or 15 inches.

Oh, sorry about the honduran, in your "non-honduran" post.
Here we go. Aaaaaaah, much better now. -Dell

That thing is hideous man... if you ever go to dump it let me know =)
Good to see the kids this year man.

Dell!,.....how do we know that Zippo lighter isn't one of those HUGE joke lighters?.....kiddin' of course!..LOL!

Those Ltt look awesome. And I'm impressed the restraint of some who don't like "lemonade stands and sensitive pants". Keep up the sarcasm, I mean, good work Jeff. *slaps knee with chuckle*...

You know me, and my sarcasm, lol. We all got into this to be different and Hondurans USED TO BE rare and special creatures. Now there are so many more Hondos in the hobby, and there are people worried about the legality of EASTERNS(No passports needed). What ever happened to buyin AMERICAN?? Jiminy Crickets, if I woke up to this 10-15 years ago I would tell you your lyin. Ancient Chinese proverb: the only thing worse in this life than not getting what you want is GETTING IT. No complaints. NICE SNAKE. But if there were 7 posts in a row on ANY ssp. I would be like this. I enjoy the variability of milks, when piles and pounds of hondos looking pretty much the same....I cringe. Do we need all of these? There is no "locality", there is no real need for this many of any one ssp. in my opinion. The more Hondos the less everything else, period. I personally am looking forward to the economic inevitability...when they "corn out". Maybe then we will see more different collections, where ssp. like your Blanchardi, maybe some NC Temps, reds, even annulata to make a comeback. I know this is cyclic, but we lost a good number of great breeders from this apathy. OK, off my soapbox, WHOOOOO lets see some more Hondos!
I would rather see tractor trailer loads of genuine Hondo's, than to see a few of some of the absolute JUNK specimens being produced by some in this hobby!

"Better to be silent and thought a fool, than to open mouth and remove any doubt!"
Truth is, no one knows what "normal" Hondos actually look like. "Normal"/WC animals are pretty ugly, skinny, etc. Its the work refining them that most people actually like.....go figure.
Yes, you are right about that!,...when I said "genuine", I only meant what most people have ,...including me too. There are only a few locality hondurensis known in any collections, and I do know of a few. If I go any further with this though, some might think I'm stepping on toes, so I won't..LOL!
Anyway, you know what I meant..LOL!
later, Jeff!

I gott'a hand it to ya', you are very sharp and witty!
Since it's free then, how about going and researching some of it. Keep in mind though, you can't find it in a children's coloring book..LOL!

So how many morphs are in this picture? I figure there are probably four or five morphs here. Can you name the different morphs represented here Jeff? I think I see a green phase, monster phase, anery phase, ... can't ID the rest. Ken
I see you have so much to add. As usual, nice post.
>>I see you have so much to add. As usual, nice post.
I was just asking which morphs were in the pic. I'm sure some are anery, some are green phase, etc. Just curious which ones were which? Thanks for your time. Ken.
This is a anery monster island milksnake, bad pic. I have better pics of others. The clutch pictured was layed by a Green female(pic to follow)from the same locale. Now I do have a hatchling that I think is a GREEN baby(making these hets), but I am not posting til it gets some size and I can get a good comparison shot with its siblings. If I have morphs to post I will have my opinion alongside. Til then go stalk someone else, your creepin me out,LMAO.

>>If I have morphs to post I will have my opinion alongside. Til then go stalk someone else, your creepin me out,LMAO.
I'm not a stalker, sorry if I struck a nerve. I just assumed these were some of your coveted $2K morphs. That is my fault for assuming.. you know the old saying I'm sure. When I look at your pictures I don't see the same things you see, "individual variation" is about as far as it goes with me. But then again, you are the biologist and I'm just some shmuck with a computer and an internet connection. Ken.
Ken, are you saying you dont see the ANERY in that last pic??? Do you see the GREEN in this pic? That said, you know I am working on it. The GREEN is unlike any other morph out there....and being the only one working with em there isnt anyone to compare/contrast with. I offered a adult male and young female as a pr for sale to get someone else to help me with the project. I want them to be as "invested" as I am, its only fair. I dont want schmucks breeding them to their regular local milks and passing em off as Monsters for obvious reasons...this insular race is EXTREMELY suseptable to extinction! I am their steward, and if it takes MORPHS for others to take notice and start working with them so be it. Now tell me, do you see GREEN in this one? I have 1 baby I THINK could be a green, but that color they arent born with so its tough to tell.

>> Now tell me, do you see GREEN in this one?
Actually I see what I consider to be a normal "wild type" eastern milk. Sure it's a pretty one, but well within the ranges of individual variation. And I only responded again because you asked me to... not because I am a stalker. Ken.
You do not see GREEN, you dont see the Anery, you must find "wild type" albinos or something all the time. Let me guess, you live in NY by a power plant??
>>You do not see GREEN, you dont see the Anery, you must find "wild type" albinos or something all the time. Let me guess, you live in NY by a power plant??
Nope, never found an albino anything. I'm originally from CT but have lived all over the eastern half of this country in my 50 something years. BTW, your elusive Monster milks can also be found throughout the Ohio Valley, so they are hardly in danger of extirpation.
I appreciate the brevity of your postings as of late. Normally you post a screen full of run on sentences and after I read your posts I'm left thinking... what did he say besides "blah, blah, blah, I'm a biologist, blah, blah"? Your pal Ken.
Normally, you are negative. My sentences are hardly running on, and I dont respond to bait anymore. The day you find a 4' milksnake(monster island or otherwise) in the Ohio Valley there feel free to send me a pic! Shoot, send me a pic of one 45" next to a ruler and I will send you a gift card for dinner...thats how sure I am that you wont. I'm tired of this, put your snakes where your mouth is and take my offer. Otherwise.....run on.

I do not keep snakes as captives and I do not know where you could have pulled this ASSumption...or wait maybe I do? I don't recall a single mention of SIZE in any of my replies, but rather I have only expressed difficulty in seeing all these "morphs" that you claim. IN MY OPINION, all your so called morphs are simply normal, wild type phase within normal variation for the species. How about you take your own advice in regards to "put your snakes where your mouth is" and show me a real morph? I won't send you a gift card as I know that is the last thing you need... perhaps I can get you in touch with Jenny Craig instead? Ken.
Since I am bulimic I was highly offended by your offer to send "a gift card for dinner"... that was just a low blow.
And I just checked my email and someone told me that I should request you to put on your sensitive pants... whatever that means. Ken
You say there are snakes like this in the Ohio river Valley, go take some pics so we know you can even catch a snake(we will help you with the ID)or just shut up about it. No one said anything about KEEPING it, cameras do work in the field. As far as morphs go, you can contact Carl Bartlett(he of hypo and striped coastal fame)--thats HIS Anery. Or maybe Chris(cn013 I think)as he got this amazing anery from me a few years ago. Now the GREEN is alot more obvious in person, ever see a pic of say a adult anery boa? Sometimes its difficult to to tell the difference, but for people who see them every day its easy. ONE positive post from you, with a pic of any type of snake you are talking about....and I will shut up,LMAO. PS, if you dont want gift cards do you accept CASH? Thats how sure I am that you are full of it!

I'm not sure why you are turning this around and trying to put me on the spot, I'm not the one that considers individual variation a "morph." I don't claim to be a collector, I don't claim to have these morphs, I don't claim anything!! The whole "my pair is bigger than your pair" argument does not apply in this scenario. I have absolutely nothing to prove. All I'm saying is that your so called morphs look normal to me. That's it in a nutshell. Ken.
and join the game. Why would you post when you admit to
1--not know anything about keeping snakes
2--not know anything about finding snakes
3--not know anything about making an arguement
4--not know when you have painted yourself into a corner
Quote"BTW, your elusive Monster milks can also be found throughout the Ohio Valley, so they are hardly in danger of extirpation. " Its spelled extirpitation by the way.
Monster Island is nowhere near Ohio, but you claim to find them there. PROVE IT. Size, color, pattern, whatever. PROVE IT. You seem awefully BENT at me, do you have something against me keeping or selling these? Do you realize that you look like a fool when you dont see these things? I mean if some of the bigger names in the hobby accept them(and they are experts with snakes in hand)why not you? Are you "special" or blind or just have a axe to grind? I wont answer your posts anymore, as you are just baiting me. But seriously, cash for pics no questions asked just stop being a punk.

I do not recall a post where I admitted to any of that. I'd like you to provide a link, please. I never said that I didn't know anything about snakes or finding snakes, only that I do not keep snakes as captives. Please read my posts again.

Dear sir, I don't really know how to respond to this. An "LOL" would be an understatement since this is coming from a "biologist" such as yourself. (Or is is spelled "biolorgeest"?)
>>>>Monster Island is nowhere near Ohio, but you claim to find them there. PROVE IT. Size, color, pattern, whatever. PROVE IT. Again, I don't have anything to prove.. to you or anyone else. I'm not sure why you think I do. My opinion (or is it spelled "upnyun"?) is that your so called monster milks are no different than a standard, run of the mill, eastern milk snake. I am very sorry that you see this as a personal attack of any kind or that I am "being a punk"...I had to laugh at that since its been at LEAST 40 years since I was called that.
So to sum it up one more time, I have nothing against you or your snakes. I just don't see anything special based on your pictures of these so called "green" or "anery" mutants. Ken.
Nice cornsnakes!! Glad to see they are working out for you but there is a section just for them and hybrids. Good lick with all of your projects!!
