Home automation for setups?

Mothi Sep 16, 2003 01:03 PM

Does anyone use home automation controllers and such for their critters' setup? I am interested in possibly trying some out. I would like to control aspects of my reptiles cage from my computer if possible. If you do use some form of automation, share what you do, what materials were needed, and how it works.

I would like to see my frogs' cage temperature and humidity on the internet. Anyone know how to do this?

Dear Mothi,

I too use a home automation system to control my animal's heating devices, and the kit I use they can be controled by my computer or by a remote. My kit is made by X10 and is called "ActiveHome", you can read about it here: http://www.x10.com/automation/homeautomation.htm#.

I hope I was of some help

JB
