Just a little bit OT - my weeekend....

rainbowsrus Sep 01, 2009 10:30 AM

OK, way more than a little.

Went white water rafting with my daughter and girls scouts. It's an older girl scout adventure pragram where they get to do some less tame things. Went down the south fork of the Amerivan river past the Coloma gold discovery site. Class 3 rapids. NOt insane but still a lot of fun.

Her we are going through the "Troublemaker" rapid. I'm front right and my daughter is second back left.

Was a lot of fun and something I'd recommend to anyone.

Quick Q Dave: At that point, are you IN the raft or out?

rainbowsrus Sep 01, 2009 08:00 PM

LOL, IN the raft sitting on the side right where I'm supposed to be.

Just a little class III rapid, I've shot a whole lot worse, google Cherry creek tuolomne for some serious rapids I have run.

Dave,
....Looks like lots of fun. I love playing in whitewater. I am still in Florida on death watch with my dad and wishing I could be kayaking instead.

Jeff,
Sorry to hear about your dad.
Paul

paulbuck Sep 02, 2009 06:32 PM

Dave,
I've flipped in those rapids a number of times. We'd go down in those six-person rafts; really fun stuff (even drunk without life-vests, geez...).
Are you going to the Sac show this year?
Paul

rainbowsrus Sep 02, 2009 07:27 PM

LOL, drunk and no life vest, that'd be sure to get the rapids to flip ya!!!

Will be there, look me up!!!!
