I don't think there's any official minimum or maximum. Bigger is always better, but if you have lots of hiding places and keep a close watch to be sure there's no aggression, you could be fine. Keep an eye out for both overt and subtle dominance - fighting (and related injuries) and stress, poor health, and weight loss (of the subordinate). It's a good idea to always have a second set-up prepared in case you need to separate them.

I hope it works out!

I know, many people do that.
But consiider: These are bulky lizard with a length of a foot or more. Also even though pairs do normnalle get along well, they are not social by nature.
I think they -as any other Uro- should have a tank where they find -or can dig- tunnkles of at least twice their lenght with a place tio hide at the end, a HOT basking spot and cooler regions to chill down, crevices and rocks for shelter and open sandy areas big enough to run for a short distance and last not least, a clean place to eat.
All that without being forced to meet another Uro their.
To my opnion this is impossible to achieve with a floorspace of less than 5 x 4 ft.
Hence, this is the minimum floorspace I recommend for a single Uro of that size or a pair.
Bigger is better, but too me 55 g for such a heavy built big and agile lizard MUST betorture. Even though they are hardy enough to survive their.

Thats my 2 cts

An yes. I do keep and breed Uros
