When I was a kid I would find leopard frogs all along the Missouri River every time I went. They were under every piece of driftwood it seemed, & in holes in muddy banks. Now days you just dont see them arround here too often. The other day I found this new leopard frog spot though, so I now have 3 spots I can go to see them. I love these guys! By far my favorite Montana frog

Thanks,

Dan Eby

Cool frogs.

I haven't seen any since a trip to Neebish Island, MI 4-5 years back. Unfortunatly, I didn't own a functional camera at the time or I'd share some pics.

Yours have some really bright green! Ours are a drab brown, sometimes with some green...

Leopards are still plentiful in my neck of the woods. It has been an odd summer. Seemed like a bad season for toads, butterflies and big moths.

You should see it here in South Carolina this year. We had an unusually wet spring which resulted in tons of amphibians. I've seen literally hundreds of leopard frogs over just the past few snaking trips. I guess that will be good for the frog-eating snakes which result in alot more food for the eastern kingsnakes.
