ZONATA MULTICINCTA ARE HERE . . . .

JKruse Sep 03, 2009 12:56 AM

Awww mannnn, last clutch of the year. But now all the fun begins....someone had said that a while back and they sure are correct on that one. At least for the snakes I have the patience of a saint.

Bass Lakes for this year, and these are just incredible. You'll see post-hatch......

Very cool, can not wait to see them! Why are the eggs in a deli cup with vermiculite that looks like it's sitting in a larger box of vermiculite??? Is that a method you use for incubation?

how are ya? Well, no. It's not a method per se for incubation, but rather a goop-catcher. I don't like the egg fluid to run all into the incubation medium as it becomes kinda funky after a while......I still have some leopard gecko eggs to hatch (my daughter's actually...). So I place them into a deli cup once I see an egg pip as a means of prevention. That's all. Can't wait to get home today to see what's what. These are going to be killer snakes . . .thanks much.

I was just up near MULTICINCTA territory in the Sierras on July 4th. However it was way to hot and dry to flip. Thought i would walk around late afternoon to find them crawling in shaded areas. But i had my wife and daughter along and they got hot and tired real fast> So I had no chioce but to quit before the late afternnon.

This is how we cooled off:
