Here's a pretty lousy pic showing my female desert cali. As you can see she's not entirely black in her dark bands, more like dark brown.
The male however, is very black & white and it seems like his genes are dominant.

No 1, 2, 9, 10 and 12 were more ordinary desert with more narrow white bands.

Those are all great. I like the 50/50's like these.

The sibs are beauties, solid black & snow white. Interested in knowing the locale history of the parents. Just wondering if there are any color differences between b&w's from the CA High desert and the CA low desert. My b&w male is from a high desert locale and his coloring is a bit like your female.
