Intergrade pyros-DOH!

brhaco Sep 04, 2009 05:03 PM

I stupidly threw a female knob into my male Applegate pyro's drawer by mistake. Left her there for a couple of days before I realized. Here's a sampling of a couple of the intergrade (het Applegate) offspring. They came out big and beautiful, and have aggressively fed on pinks from the start.....

By the looks of the babies I'd have to say some people have done that several times before. I have scratched my head on more than a few ocasions.

I know some would frown over this but not me... I think those are way cool and though mass production is not the best idea those will make beautiful pets for someone not into breeding. Strong feeders too... very cool

I agree Tom-when I offer them they'll be honestly represented as intergrades.

Truthfully it seems like most people who keep snakes breed them...but as the saying goes Things Aint Always As They Seem. Plenty of keepers who dont breed thier animals... those will make fine pets. Are you coming down for the Austin show in October?

Tom-

Don't know if I'll make the Austin show-depends what I have left by then. Probably will be at Randall's show in San Antonio in November, since it's only a half hour away.

So you made some woodini, then. There is a natural intergrade zone that some say starts as far north as southern AZ and down into MX.
