Congrats Maryann!
Now comes the hard part, feeding baby streckeri can be a nightmare in the daytime! LOL!

Maryann,
Cricket frogs, ground skinks, and baby Storeria! Most my birthlings take thawed, *warm* pink mice off tongs from the beginning. Trigger their pits.
That's a big litter. Mississippi snakes have 5 to 10 on average. Was she a big mamma?
Cheers,
Terry
I think the literature states something insane like 32 young as the record. I've had CBB streckeri litters of 16 and 12, to normal-sized WC/LTC females, a plump 18-20" or so.
These were - without a doubt - some of the most unpleasant neonates I've ever dealt with. Gorgeous, sure, but tiny and oh-so fussy. They made the nominate race look easy, and their survival rate was awful. Indeed I was so disgusted I sold the adults (which were rock-solid, trouble-free captives) and quit the taxon. One of this forum's regulars got one of my 2 pairs, I wonder how he's done with them...
They are pretty gape-limited. If the prey items mentioned by others don't serve, try small skinny salamanders if you have access to them. Some of mine ate red-backs. Oh, they'll also eat each other...
If you'd like easy-starting pigs try the pinky-eating Okeechobee duskies!
Cheers,
Jimi
No need to worry about feeding them. We released them where we found Mom...they're on their own!!!
