ErigoEslos Sep 06, 2009 07:04 PM

Hey there. I have a ball python about 17 inches long. i fed her a hopper and she bit it sideways. She is trying to swallow it that way but its not moving. What should I do?

Hi,
I have come across the same issue. When switching a little guy to f/t rat fuzzies. He kept striking and hitting it mid body and would try to swallow sideways or rear first. After several attempts to find his way around he lost intrest so I took it out and tried again a little later and he finally got it right.
Not sure if that helps but I would just try again if he hasn't gotten it right yet.
