Very cool pictures. While I have seen the mirror technique before for photo shoots using snakes, I've never seen it with really anything reflecting off of the mirror other than a solid color like black or white. The sky really adds a whole nother dimension to the pictures. Now you've got my mind thinking...

great pictures. I could see that method being great for getting belly shots, especially if the snake could somehow be raised slightly off the mirror possibly on glass. Adam

I tried that but it didn't come out as good as I had hoped. The glass was tempered so it distorts it a little.

She's not that red as it shows in the picture.

that's a smokin' hog by the way!! ... you do get an idea of how solid the black, but not perfect. I think you're on to something though, it would be nice to be able to provide 2 pics in 1 and be able to avoid all the hassles of trying to expose their bellies.
