Its all your fault that I got bit by the Kingsnake bug once again! I have done retics for 7 years now and went exclusive three years ago. I havent owned any kings for three years and I was going strong! But I cant stop looking at your pictures and I just had to get one! needless to say I ended up with two and I WANT MORE now! I got two female Desert Kings and the Brooksi are next on the hit list!

My retics are mad at you as well!

Thanks I guess!

Please apologize to your Pythons for me.....
I just can't help it.... I fight the urge to post mega pics during winter but once summer and fall are here I just can't help myself.
Too many fun babies and have to get pics of the proud parents.
Welcome back to Kings!

All your posts are great and I just love the variety. I enjoy the wild type kings but the brooksi morphs are on the top of my list. I wish I had an area I could go outside and get some pics (condos suck). Tinley park NARBC is in one month and I have quite the list. I want to get the fallowing female hatchlings and just have them to raise up nice and slow and enjoys them.

I haven't seen one that beats that original male you photo'd, damn if I don't have a shot of him, orange sidewalls would be cool to bring out! At least I have 2 pairs now tp work with, 11 babies from this year, and 2 from last year and a whopper 3rd female to start next year. Fun!

I like the kubuki mask she sports! and the mascra is kinda cool too, they keep this into adulthood.

Similar boat It's amazing comparing the size difference; my *baby* female retic is bigger than most kingsnakes ever get.

Atlas511 Sep 07, 2009 04:59 PM

My baby kings can go inside my retics nostrils lol!

Nokturnel Tom Sep 07, 2009 05:00 PM

You know one of the reasons I love Pits is the babies are bigger than some yearling Kings. It's cool to skip the pinky mice stage and go right to fuzzies or even hoppers. I always liked the big Pythons but for me it was not something I could have handled.. I am lucky though because Kings and Pits are my faves and I have more than enough of those.

I love the splendidas, look out if Tom ever gets into those! here's an unusual hypo male caught here a few years back and a different looking female I caught here at home on Jan. 1st. This is the best looking splendida I have ever seen, looks kinda like an eastern...

It's funny how some things are treated with respect as far as etiquette and market pricing and others are tossed into the toilet. There's a few snakes I would have loved to have added to my collection but seeing where they are now I am glad I didn't. It baffles me why someone would take something new.... drive it into the ground because of lack of patience instead of considering options for other animals that have long been easily accessible in the hobby........ don't get me going.........

I hear ya', but I'm a glutton for punishment! I truly love the splendies and specks, like you do the brooks and goini and pits and... seriously, I really enjoy working with these guys. Check out the new breeder I found today! here's the new guy, his girl and your het male, while he's not as pretty as your male, he's definitely got it going on, locality and he's lighter than she is, I like how the "florets" (dots on the scales) line up to make three leaf and four leaf designs, as in your het male.

Splendids are on my list too; they're amazing animals. I think I'm a sucker for black/yellow on snakes. oh well.
