Size depends on sex and how well the animal has been feeding (and what). Hazard to guess you have a male, 18 inches, could be about 6 to 8 months if it was feeding "normally".
If you give us more information we could give you a better estimate. Sex, feeding frequency, what it is feeding on, where you got it, etc.

I have to plead un-informed...yet. I captured him on a "snake call" from a woman's garage. She stated it came from a bag of mulch she had just bought from Home Depot! I haven't sexed it yet. I have fed him/her a thawed pinky, which he readily accepted. This is my first owned snake as I am experienced mainly with removal and relocating venomous snakes and snake bite treatment.
Doesn't sound like a ball python!
I'm no expert, but at 18" as long as it has good body tone, I would say it is under a year... but as stated above that depends heavily on it's feeding regimine. I have a female 08 that only likes mice, and won't take them more than every 10 days
I also have a male 08 that's a pig 30 " and fat.
Do you have pics?
What area are you from that you respond to snake calls, if you don't mind me asking? This is the 2nd post about someone aquiring a ball like this, I believe the other was found on the sidewalk. Any ideas about how it got in the mulch?

I am from Georgia. Here's a couple pics of Jafar. Do ya have any pics of the new orange ghost?

That's what I get for typing on 3hrs of sleep! The new girl is actually het, maybe in a few years I'll have the real deal. Sorry for the confusion, I do have pics though.

i would like to see the pics of yours, i know very little about python markings.

I just got a digital camera last weekend, I have taken a lot of pictures, I just need to figure out how to load them on the computer and then post them to the internet...
I should have some time this weekend to read the manual and upload the pics. I'll be making a new thread, so just look for it near the top of the page.
If you want to familiarize yourself with some of the ball python morphs NERD's website (newenglandreptile.com) is a good resource, it has all of the basics and some of the morph combinations, but it's near impossible to keep all of them staight due to the new ones being discovered and old ones combined each season.
Orange ghost (also referred to as hypomelanistic) has been around for quite a while, there are different quality animals within any morph so appearances can differ. It is a recessive trait, so mine being heterozygous means it looks like any other normal, it just has the genetic makeup to produce an Orange ghost when paired with another that is either het or homozygous for Orange ghost.
Hope this helps a little
