species expansion!

I thought this was funny. From a big apple herps ad on the classifieds. they ran one ad advertising "8 gorgeous species of milk snakes" and then this one:

"SPECTACULAR SNAKES - 19 Incredible Species of Kingsnakes - Same Day Shipping With FULL Guarantees!"

wonder what we've been missing?

when science and marketing breed this is what to expect, then along come "the splitters" to feed and nurture the newborn.

>>"...I thought you were announcing you were getting into Kings..."

well, i DID get back into kings, Tom. But i don't think it'll excite you much: I now have ONE snake, and it IS a king: I stopped on my way home from a family reunion in hilton head to turn some railroad ties in Jasper Co., SC. Figured i'd see if i could find a nice Okeetee. Instead, the third tie yielded a little chain king. I couldn't resist bringing it home, to see if i can maintain it properly while traveling as much as i do now.

Mark, we both know all snakes are "fine animals," but i don't think either this snake OR this pic is gonna perk up anyone's blood pressure. The splendida i found in SW NM last month on a trip with my daughter Terra was a nicer specimen, but there was no practical way to get it home. I'll post a pic of it in a minute. Meanwhile, here's a pic of my present "snake collection"!
