BASICALLYBOAS Sep 11, 2009 02:14 PM

Jeff, no Paraglow Motley, breeding was a Motley Het Sharp X Paradigm.
----------------

Thanks everyone for all your Congrats & Positive feedback!

We really have been anticipating the Paradigm Motley since we first made the Paradigms. We did not think they were going to be as nice as they turned out!

We will get lots of pics of them up after they shed. We lucked out and got a ratio of 2.2!

Thanks,

Something I've been grappling with for a while now...So, is a Paradigm the Super form of Double Homozygous Sharp and Boawoman T Positive? Or, is it Homo. one and Het. one? Neither of the previous?

>>> Something I've been grappling with for a while now...So, is a Paradigm the Super form of Double Homozygous Sharp and Boawoman T Positive? Or, is it Homo. one and Het. one? Neither of the previous?
jsc

It is neither of those

A Paradigm is:
It is a visual DBL Het of Sharp Albino and B.W. Caramel

So it's just a Dbl Het Sharp / B.W. Caramel that just so happens
to show itself in a visual fashion.

If you Breed a paradigm to any unrelated Boa (neither of the Sharp or B.W. traits are involved) , Jungle het nothing, Motley het nothing or a normal Boa etc..

The trait redivides resulting in offspring that are either Het Sharp Albino or Het B.W. Caramel

but not Both because that is a Paradigm a visual Dbl het
of the 2 traits

So that's how you get Parahets ,they are either het Sharp strain or Het B.W. caramel one or the other its a 50/50 shot
more or less, one or the other.

Plus if you breed a Homozygous Sharp to a Homozygous B.W.Caramel
this should result in Paradigms

I hope I broke it down into an understandable form

That's how I understand it

I thought that was what I said? Sorry, still lost.
Thanks,

Sorry I must have misunderstood what you said

>>>.So, is a Paradigm the Super form of Double Homozygous Sharp and Boawoman T Positive?

Or, is it Homo. one and Het. one?

Neither of the previous?
------------------------------------------------------------

I wouldn't think it could be identified as a " Super "
because it is not a Codominant trait

Its very similar as pairing an Anery to an Albino creating Dbl Het for Snow

except in this case the Dbl het babies are visually identifiable

It took me quite some time to wrap my head around the idea of Paradigm

Then

Parahet and Pos Parahet had me confused for awhile
