I have just moved to Texas from Pa. and I am planning a trip out west to val verde county to my bosses land. I was wondering what the best time of the year to go was. I was thinking by early april stuff should be movin about?

In the Trans-pecos, April can be a little bit early. May-June is better for nocturnal stuff. Of course, a warm April night with some rain can be productive.

Hunting in the day in Val Verde is tough for snakes.
