Big babies or not...

Conrad Sep 16, 2003 05:53 PM

Well a little over a week ago now my baby corn finally decided to make their worldly appearance at about 70 days of incubation. The first one was what I consider average, about 8 inches in total length, but after all was said and done I had 8 babies with the 8 incher being the smallest. The rest average 10" and I've got three that measured in at 12" right out of the egg. They've just shed and are starting to eat. I've just never heard of hatchling corns 12" long. Has anyone else had some big babies like this, or aren't these all that big. This was just a "play around" breeding between my light regular male and a miami phase female.
