I happen to find this spiny tailed iguana but I'm not sure of which kind it is. But the whole body is very blue. How big can they get and will the blue stay until it reaches adult size?

That is probably C. bakeri, a Central American species and looks like a female to boot....

Good guess Tom, you got the female part right, but that is not a bakeri. I have currently 4 pairs and have been keeping them for over ten years now and know them like the back of my hand. The lizard is giving off a bluish gray cast, but that is a similis.
Then the color thru me but I can't see the dewlap and other features that are distinctive in bakeri. On the other hand I've NEVER seen a similus that color before but they are highly variable lizards depending on locale. He sure gets a LOT of odd lizards he BUMPS into to be in S.E. Asia though. The BLUE Cyclura really surprised me....ANSILLYGOOSE IS A LUCKY LIZARD FINDING GUY!!!

I've kept similis on and off for about 12 years now and have seen a wide variety of color and patterns. I had a wonderful, tame blue and black male that was absolutely stunning. I've also had males that were a pale peach color with black markings and an adult female that showed a lot of blue and green coloration.

The seller told me that it is a male. Maybe he is wrong. However, there is another one, which he believes to be a female, but this one is greenish with yellow speckled. If I take a good picture, can you tell me whether it is a male or female?
I wish I had lizards fell into my lap the way they seem to fall into yours... I imagine you'll come across a fiji pretty soon.
You need to be careful with Fiji's falling in your lap....lol

I actually have seen a fiji coming through the market. It was real nice, but I decided not to keep it as I tend to go for blue lizard more. Cheers.
Are you talking about the Sunday Market in Bangkok..Sowa-dee-Kop

These lizards can't be sold in the sunday market, especially the fiji. But I'm sure you can easily get the source. Your blue lizards are extremely beautiful. I did have one of the blue "green iguana". I sent the picture to you via e-mail once. Sadly that it died quite a while ago. I really wish I could get another of that type.
I also like your Exuma Iguana a lot. Really want to get one, but it's truly impossible here.
I don't know about the figgensi as you seem to be extremely lucky on finding unusual lizards especialy considering where you live.....

MY guess it is C. Pectinata or a Hybrid between C. Pectinata and Similis.
Yes, It's hard to capture the blue though.

Can you give a little history on him? Was he just a chance purchase or was he purchased for his nice color? Etc. Thanks
Addressing mine or sillygoose?
or both? lol

.
this is a great looking lizard. can i ask where you got it and how old is it. why are you wearing gloves while holding it?
his origin is unknown so he is currently one of a kind. I've seen pictures of some that looked similar but we all know similis have different locale colorations here and there.
This picture was taken a while back so he's a little bigger now.
I am still on the search for a female counterpart for him to suit his coloration so hopefully that will pan out someday.
Gloves are worn during inspections and cleanings, just happened to have the camera at that time.
