Tom I didn't ask the vendor, the brooksi was mostly brown and yellow very little red at all if any. I had heard Rainer use the term before. Now I'm kind of upset at myself that I didn't pick up the snake

The term "Super Brooks" was a marketing term and not much els4e.
Several years ago different vendors decided to use the name "super" in front of Brooks for any unusually nice animals they produced. the problem is every guy who produced their own looking line used the name Super" ..

BHB and Southern Reptiles were two companies who started to coin the phrase superbrooks in the 80's and 90's. BHB super was a normal and Southern reptiles had a line that was a lavender. So was the snake you saw a normnal or lavender??

I do have some of the superbrooks from the now defunct Sothern reptiles company. I used them to breed into my sulfur lavenders.

Sulfur Lavender x Superbrooks (Southern Reptiles line)

A good idea is to take a digital camera along to shows and that way if you have any questions we can see the pics

Without knowing whos line it was it is hard to tell. Sounds like a BHB (brian Barzyck)superbrooks. Which means they are supposed to be above average Fl king. He was selling them back in the 90's and had them on his website list.

Southern Reptiles stock (I beleive) came from crossing a meansi/goini into Lavender Florida kings and then out-breeding the meansi/goini stock. This was back in the 80's so knowbody questioned it. That is at least what I beleive they did.

I do know this. I have sevral of those Southern reptile animals and they are by far the largest and calmest of all the babies I produce. The adults get monsterous size compared to other Fl kings. But are they a brooksi? ..No, absolutly not.
