I've noticed through posts on this board and ads on the classifieds that there is a tremendous amount of diversity in the way a pastel calico looks. Some, like the ones posted by DWherp a few posts down, retain a pretty solid pattern with stunning color. Others seem to have a broken up, minimal pattern with those crazy colors leaking all over the place. Is the appearance completely at random, or does it depend on the bloodlines of either the calico or the pastel used in the combo?
