A few pictures of my Hypo brooksi to share

bluerosy Sep 16, 2003 07:24 PM

Patternless side (or whitesided ?)hypo brooksi female:

male:

Same Male

Female:

Pic I took last year (2002) at the Tampa show thru a deli cup. I did not buy this snake:

My yearling male:

I just thought I would throw this in for good measure and a comparison with the Peanut Butters.
The bottom is a male Peanut Butter, the middle is a het male and the top is a female. I am not sure if the female is a Peanut Butter or just a light colored het. So far no Peanut Butter females have ever hatched. This one is different and may be a female Peanut Butter. I hope so.

One last shot of my male hypo:

One more shot of my female:

Same male again:

Whose stock is that top pic ? Personally I love those straight even crossbars. To me they are few and far between compared to the aberrant and thich crossbarred ones.

Okay I have a history of doing this and its got to change. I picked the snake up this past weekend from a breeder at the SC Columbia show. I did a trade for a pair of my Lav speckleds for his female hypo and his female axanthic. I know the axthanthic is from Tim Ricks and I believe he said the hypo was also from Tim Ricks. But I am not 100% sure. Duhhhhh!

Okay I have a history of doing this and its got to change. Sometimes I get overly excited about acquiring a new snake and forget the history info. Are the PB's that red or is it just the way the pic came out ? Can you post some more PB baby pics ? I like that strain,.

They are red lavender looking when they are neonates . Then they seem to get more melanin as they grow erasing the transparent lavender look.
I will post pics later.

...Some are red lavender when neonates.

They can be a copper,a light lavender or a plain jane lavender looking animal when born. They vary. This year I had several of these reddish ones. I sold all the male babies so i only have a few pics and none of what they look like today.
