Best way to trap an adult albig

newstorm Sep 14, 2009 03:02 PM

She got loose a month ago and now occupies an abandon lot 2 lots down from my house. My neighbors have seen her a few times.

I was wondering what would be the best way to trap her and get her back. Thanks.

Depending on how big she is, you could buy or borrow from the humane society or ASPCA a hav-a-heart trap.If she is too big, you should build a long wooden box, with a door at one end that hangs from the top and opens going into the box.Put a wire or string going from a stick holding the door up through hooks on the top of the box to a piece of meat or chicken. When she pulls the food, the stick should be pulled from under the door.Make sure that the door is built so that it can not open out.Lay out a trail of small pieces of meat leading into the trap. I would try setting it up right before it gets light out.
Good luck, Joe Kahn
It worked on Animal Cops Miami, 3 times in one show.

Just out of curiosity, how was it a waste? Alot of people don't chech the herps sites everyday like i (and i assume you) do. It's posible that the original poster linked there email to responces and didn't know it is appriciated when people tell if your advice helped. or they could be rude. I don't know but it's not fair to jump to conclusions. Either way have a good one
