What kind of tadpole is this? Is it possible that it hasn't morphed yet? Here's a picture, sorry it's so big.
Thanks

The comp I am on for the night is low resolution but from what I can see it looks like a bullfrog tad. They can stay as tadpoles for up to 2 or 3 yrs. Andy

I had a tad that looked exactly like that one when I was raising my Leos and I was told that it was a green frog.
Do bull frogs look different in other places? The bull tads that I've had and seen in the ponds here in Tampa are an olive green with cream colored bellies.

it might be a green frog or a leo, but its not a bullfrog
Thanks for all your help. I don't need any more though, yesterday I couldn't find my tad and looked under all the rocks (they are plastic rocks that can be connected) and found him dead. I don't know why he died, but it looked like he got wedged somewhere.
I also forgot to say in my original post that I know he is not a bullfrog because they were sharing a cage with them in the store. That info is usless know, but I just wanted to tell you.
In the next few days I am going out to buy a new frog. Me and my mom decieded that the one we have now needs company. Just in case, within the next few days I am going to clean the cage, considering that it is probably long overdo. It's been about 3 weeks (EWWWW).
Thanks again,
Cyclonegirl
Did youhave the tad separated from the frog? Make sure to get another leo or a green frog, they can live together. BUT!!! You'll want to quarentine the new frog for a few months before adding it to the tank to avoid the spread of parasites.
Frogs don't get lonely, so you don't really NEED to get him a buddy.
The tad that I had that looked exactly like that died the same way. After a couple days of it looking a little on the weak side and just wasn't growing at all. I too found mine under the rocks.

Heather, I don't even think there are bullfrogs in Tampa... are you sure they aren't pig frogs?

Oh we have a CRAP load of bullies here in Tampa. They come up on the list too as well as those pig frogs. If you take a walk around the ponds around the apartment complex in the evening you can hear them calling and see them jumping for cover. We've caught a few just to look at and they were definitely bullies. I actually haven't seem pig frogs out of the tanks in the herp shops.
