ON and OT: ARB and new snake!

natsamjosh Sep 14, 2009 08:36 PM

Here are some pics of Mendoza after recent shed. Also I got a new snake, a Bredl's python. Great snake, even calmer than Mendoza (who is very tame.)

Thanks for looking,
Ed

He got an attitude when I laid him on the grass

And introducing Brett...

Do you have a pair of ARB's??? If I remember correctly, your roommate has one. Great snakes, I'm not sure why they are not more popular.

my roomie has two what we think is a pair and what was sold as a pair, but when probed the numbers are little close so only attempted breeding will tell for sure if true pair or not.

the female seems to have some guyana influance in her tho.

for simplicity of post i just reguard all snakes as mine specialy since i do most all the cleaning and feeding. they are her snakes but still my adopted kids so to say lol.

if all goes well i will have one heck of a breeding season, i am a little naughty tho and paired together a few already for early season breeding lol

black bloods and also coral albino x "normal" het anery boa
the males of both have been going nuts past few weeks so decided what the heck and well bloods were almost instant copulation and boas have been courting like crazy and male even left a present on females back lol

Thanks Mike. Yeah, a Bredl's seems to be right up my alley - decent size but not too big, fairly easy to maintain, calm temperment, good looking (imo) and not real shy. Not as good as rainbow boas, of course...
