new milk snake.... help with temp gradie

robertw006 Sep 16, 2009 05:23 PM

im new to snakes. i just bought my first milk snake yesterday and ive got a few questions that i cant seem to find acceptable answers to on the internet. i was hoping an experienced keeper can help me answer these questions. first of all, ive heard the temperature gradient is about 85-72, is this air temperature or floor temp? what is the warmest temp the floor should be to ensure my snake wont be burned? the second question is; im not sure what specific species he is. i will post links to pics. if someone could please help me identify the species, i would greatly appreciate it. thanks!

ok, so with a little more research, ive found that it is a sinaloan milk snake. is this accurate? does everyone agree with this? thanks again.

Yes, for all practical purposes a Sinaloan milk.
