terrarium foam

Hi, I have a question about using DOW foam in my terrarium...first, the purpose is to sculpt a landscape using the foam rather than gravle right? Also, after sculpting and curing, does the foam need to be treated or coated with anything. The tank is for dart from so it may have some water in it. not much standing water though.
