setup pics with temp/humidity levels

Here are a few pics of a typical colubrid snake set up in my collection. It houses one of my milk snake females. Its a standard 40gal. tank. Take note of the temp. and hygrometer readings.

The warm side:


As you go down card board layer by card board layer the temps drop by 5 or so degrees for each one.

The middle:

The cool/moist side:


Obviosly the humidity gets higher as one goes deeper in the aspen.

The problems I have are that tape on the cardboard pieces and that moist area on the cool side. To moist and the snake can get belly sores.

Well i hatched her out 9 years ago and she has been in this setup for over 5 years now. I dont think belly sores or the tape is an issue.
